Hull Independent Cinema presents
Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma (15)
Director: Jane Schoenbrun | LGBTQ+, Drama, Horror, Romance | 2026 | 106 mins | Age Rating: 15
After years of slapdash sequels and waning fandom, the Camp Miasma slasher film franchise is handed to an enthusiastic young queer director, Kris, for resurrection.
Determined to enlist the original film's iconic "final girl", now a reclusive actress shrouded in mystery, Kris seeks her out at the summer camp where it all began.
As the boundaries between fiction and reality begin to dissolve, the two women spiral into a psychosexual frenzy, while characters from the original Camp Miasma meet their fates at the hands of a new slasher.
AWARDS & NOMINATIONS
Cannes Film Festival: Winner, Queer Palm; Nominee, Un Certain Regard Award
